It is true that we do not convert the atoms in fat into energy during weight loss. We “burn” them which means, we react them with oxygen atoms to form carbon dioxide and water. The total number of atoms in the universe does not change. The atoms in the fat we lose and oxygen we inhale are simply rearranged, recombined, and, in the process, energy is released. I hope that clears this up.
You say fat can’t turn into energy? And then say we use fat as energy if we are starving?
